I've found a piston/melon/pumpkin bug that spawns dirt blocks. I popped in an iron block under the pumpkin to see if it was duping the block underneath because .. well diamond or gold blocks could cause problems/make me the richest man in minecraftia. But it seems that it spawns a dirt block regardless. Because the block is tilled I suspect it's linked to whatever plugin preserves tilled earth.

Neat as free dirt is, I'd rather have a working melon-o-matic :D

If you catch me online I can demo the bug for you.

Naith, telluur and me also experienced this bug, it happens with a BUD switch (block update detector) when you have farmland that retracts when the melon grows, so you don't have to hoe it again.. it doubles the dirt block underneath, at the piston which makes it useless.

more of a minecraft bug than a server bug i would suspect. Does it also happen in offline mode?

The plugin fails, it isnt minecraft itself. I was already wondering why all my bud switches were failing so often :l
