Do you think you could add a few things to the shops?

Like being able to sell string, even if it's only 0.05 each.
Also, for the shop to sell things like enchanting potion for maybe 50 each, considering it hardly gives you any xp and it would take 100+ to get a decent ammount of levels.
Additionally other blocks and items, like i think you have taken flowers out of the shop, if you could, could you please re-add them? And various other blocks that you could possibly need when building (I.e cobblestone, ect.) I know most building materials are infact inside of the shop but there are a few that people don't want to go on a mad search for things. Maybe also consider adding diamond, iron, gold and lapis blocks for x9 the price of the single item of course, as i feel it would save time clicking several times on the single item to get the ammount you wish to have. Could you also make soul sand sell-able? Maybe for $2, maybe more or maybe less, however this are only suggestions that i ask for you to keep into consideration; Of course you can decide if you allow the selling of certain items at prices you feel acceptable.

Regarding your suggestions for the shop and the /sell command:


Shop:
ore blocks - We only have limited showcases in the shop. there's no room for these regaring the fact that you can buy stacks-'o-diamonds/lapis/etc.
cobble - Not enough room in the shop for this item, since it is really easy to get cobble.
flowers - We removed them to create more room for other items. besides, you can get flowers fairly easy with bonemeal.
enchanting bottles - They are not yet supported by showcasestandalone/bukkit, as soon as they are they will be added to the PVP shop.


/sell
string - we've added that yesterday :)
soul sand - Will be added shortly ;)

We could change our currency from dollars to some fantasia-currency.

Ok. First of all I want to say slap gaming is the best server I've ever found and i don't plan on leaving it. But once the plugin for "You have reached the end of the world" i hate. Right outside it is where I was going to build a city, and now i can't. Soon, the whole server is going to be full and there will be no room. One reason I love minecrat is that the world is infinite and that plugin ruins it. I know its so that it won't get laggy, but before u got it it wasn't laggy at all. So I hope you consider removing that plugin or expand it a few thousand blocks n radius.

We plan on expanding the border as we need it. Currently, the room that is encompassed by the border is more than enough, but if we do indeed run out of room, then we will look at expanding to cater for more people.

The map isn't full yet, not at all. Especially the area north of spawn is completely empty, if our world does get full then we will expand the border, like Levi said. We didn't have the border plugin anymore, but because some of our members can't behave themselves when we don't immediately stop them they went away from spawn for about 50000 blocks, this caused an important plugin of ours (LogBlock) to crash so to stop this from happening again we put the world border plugin back on.

Most of the punishments in this plugin cause damage to the environment and the few that don't cause damage are "normal" punishments like lightning/ spawning mobs next to people.
Therefore I'm saying no.

I know, its just me, craftyarab and you at the north :( Ima hate how crowded it'll get when ankh opens.

About the shop however, I think things sellable in it should all be natural like:
Mob drops ( including 'special' drops)
Natural occuring blocks
Blocks you get from breaking blocks (cobble, for instance)
And so forth.

since we have a football stadium, why don't we create a football game for it?

ok this is how it goes, 2 teams, both get armour equell in defence streangth but not in same color(the chestplate should be diffrent for the use of a team color, such as The Chains Breaker as a team name, or Iron Cows, Leather Pigs and such names for teams)

now, each team member gets a sword, and 2 steaks.

there are 3/2 "warpers" to each team which get a weaker sword and ender pearls, their job is to warp to the touchdown or above the thingy pole thingy that I don't know it's name, they are allowed to get points at the touchdown only if they used the ender pearls 2/3/4(or) lines away, they get 1 point for the touchdown with enderpearl, and if they go above the pole thingy they get 2 points, they only get 3 enderpearls a round, the also look diffrent from the team members cause they'll have no helm(yes it'll be easier to kill them).

there are attackers which their job is to kill the warpers of the other team.

there are defenders that will guard the warpers till a point he can teleport from his own.

the game is 4-6 rounds, eachround ends when both of the teams warpers are either dead or reached the destination.

The leader of each team can be mods/admins, and once the round start noone can enter the inside of the field, that means when the team members that die respawn, they'll have to wait till next round, in the respawn area there will beds so they'll be respawned close to the field.

Jackster or any other admin i think that it would be a good idea to open the floor upstairs of the store so people can make there own shops and sell things that the normal store does not sell or at a different price than the store. This would be a good thing so people can make some more money. Also the personal stores should cost them money every week so they have to make so much money each week and if they did not pay for it the personal store would be unworld guarded and any one could take the stuff from the store. All of the materials from the personal stores should be found by the owners and people can share a store and bolth run it. thank you for your time Airplane603.

I'm gonna suggest that this probably won't happen. Having other worldguards within the spawn area isn't a clever idea.

This is how the shop system used to work, however people just kept taking the prices lower and lower, until it got rediculous and people could buy diamonds for like 10 each, it was stupid and ruimed the economy. So it wont work for that reason, but if tere was a way to narrow the items to things we dont sell, such as enchanted stuff or whatever else we edont sell. But i wouldnt get your hopes up, worldguarding would be a pain, and i doubt we could limit what you sell.

We've had player made shops in the past and there are a number of problems with them, which I will list here.

Problem 1) They become unused;
A person will set up a shop to sell their stuff, all well and good, that's until they forget about it and then we have loads of empty shops.
Problem 2) Undercutting;
The server sells item 'p' for $50.
The server buys item 'p' for $20.
You then sell the item for 40 dollars, so people buy from you.
Then the next person sells the item for $30, so people buy from them.
Finally someone sells the item for $20.01, and the items just go to the shop buy price plus 0.01 dollars.
Problem 3) Space;
To make a shop you need space, and this would quickly run out on the top floor of the castle.
Problem 4) Regulation;
Without regulation this kind of thing quickly becomes a downwards undercutting circle, however there's no way to regulate it without everyone selling at the lowest value possible.

The only solution to this would be some kind of auction mod, or something like the 'Grand Exchange', which is a system used on many MMORPG games.
